Hello! I'm Ben, your AU President.

I graduated in the Summer of 2020 with a Degree in English and spent three years as a student in the Men's Football Club.

My job is to be the voice of student sport and liaise with the AU staff, the Guild, and students across campus to ensure sport is accessible by everyone and maximise student satisfaction.

My manifesto encompasses three main themes; Welfare, Inclusivity and Diversity, and Transparency.

If you have ever have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me at

Vice President

Hi! I’m Adam, your AU Exec Vice President. I’m a 4th year Medical Science student and sports I’ve been involved in at Exeter are Basketball and Canoe club.

This year my main goal is to make the Exec a robust and useful entity that people know about and know what we do. I hope to do this through improving communication channels between the Exec committee and Clubs, and to increase presence of Exec committee members at club events, fixtures and training.

General Secretary

Hi! I'm Millie, your AU Exec General Secretary. I'm a 2nd year, studying History and IR, and the main sport I've been involved in at Exeter is Badminton.

My aim is to support Ben and Adam in whatever they endeavour to complete, though I have specifically focused myself on enhancing transparency between the Exec and the rest of the AU, especially in the current situation where, obviously, a lot of people may be quite confused about what’s going on, what the actual rules are, and the recent updates that have been put forward.

Welfare Officer

Hi! I’m Sabrina, your AU Exec Welfare Officer for this year. I’m a third year Drama student and I’m also part of Exeter University Amateur Boxing Club.

This year my goal is to prioritise the well-being of our students and offer them help in a way that best suits them, especially at a time like this when it’s needed now more than ever. I want to create awareness around certain mental health issues and by doing this, open up more specific safe spaces for our students to be able to talk.

St Luke's Officer

Hi! I’m Isaac, your AU Exec St Lukes Officer. I’m a 2nd year Sport and Exercise Science student and I’m also a part of Exeter University Football Club.

My main goal this year is to increase participation within the clubs and help increase the awareness of these to new students. Due to Covid-19 implications it has been extremely hard for students to gain a real insight into the vast amount of clubs available so I will try my best to work with the clubs to restore this

Media Officer

Hi I’m Tom, your AU Exec Publicity Officer for this year.

My goals this year are to help clubs improve engagement and brand identity, whilst getting all clubs featured and involved on the Student Sport pages.

If you’re a keen media creator please get in touch if you’d like to help out with anything to do with student sport:

Inclusion Officer

Hello! I’m Lucy, a fifth year medical student and university of Exeter triathlete. I have taken on Exec committee’s new role this year, Inclusivity Officer.

I look forward to collaborating on projects to promote participation in sport and physical activity for all - and this extends to our continuity in providing support and engagement with our student community throughout these challenging times. Through creativity, flexibility and passion for sport & welfare, our team will drive some great initiatives over the upcoming year, including virtual events and social media strategy ...perhaps like no other before!

Adam Evans - Vice President

"This year has been a completely new experience for everyone at the university. Given that no students or staff have ever faced anything like this before, I am incredibly proud of the way in which Exeter sports have responded. This is down to the passion and determination of the AU Staff, and all the individual club committees, who have been working hard since the start of term to allow sports to continue where it is safe for them to do so.

I’m working closely with the AU staff and the Exec Committee to increase our presence at club sessions throughout the term so that committees and club members know who we are and what we do. Hopefully, alongside regular updates to this blog, it will help to improve communication between the AU, Exec, club committees and members. I’m also looking at some resources and materials we can recommend to club committees to help them feel confident in their role and allow them to stand out at interviews and in future careers. This will form part of a careers event run by the Athletics Union to assist club committee members to show off their experience in future careers."
